NUATAN® is a project focused on the application of a new generation of industrial solutions of bioplastic materials for businesses that produce or plan to produce organic products with added value from bioplastics. The innovation is based on a patent solution – a mixture of PLA (polylactic acid) and PHB (polyhydroxybutyrate). Both are made from 100 % renewable sources and are 100 % biodegradable in industrial or domestic compost. At the same time, mixtures produced on the basis of these polymers have excellent temperature stability and comparable characteristics to conventional plastic materials such as PP, LDPE or PS. NUATAN’s core competencies consist of design expertise, material science know-how and the ability to combine the two areas to form innovative solutions that meet market demands for production and customers. Essential elements of the service are the delivery of optimised material, semi-finished products, design studies and/or product through which a customer can obtain an eco-friendly product representing sustainability and innovation through a new generation of bioplastics. There are 4 business streams (flows) that work with both B2B and B2C type clients. The first areas of intervention are the ‘take-away’ of multi-use tableware and products/semi-finished products for the fashion sector. Intermediate products and product prototypes (TRL6-7) have been successfully tested in both areas. Nuatan has the potential to become one of the first companies to offer comprehensive solutions for truly eco-friendly, high-quality products of the next generation with added value. The project contributes to the overall awareness and education of the company about environmental problems and offers useful solutions to eliminate the impact of undesirable materials in everyday products.     NUATAN® je projekt zameraný na aplikáciu novej generácie priemyselných riešení bioplastových materiálov pre podniky, ktoré vyrábajú alebo plánujú vyrábať ekologické výrobky spridanou hodnotou z bioplastov. Inovácia je založená na patentovom riešení - zmes PLA (kyselina polymliečna) a PHB (polyhydroxybutyrát). Obidve zložky sú vyrobené zo 100% obnoviteľných zdrojov a zároveň sú 100% biologicky rozložiteľné v industriálnom alebo domácom komposte. Zároveň majú zmesi vyrobené nazáklade týchto polymérov výbornú teplotnú stabilitu a vlastnosti porovnateľné s bežnými plastovými materiálmi ako sú PP, LDPE alebo PS. Základné kompetencie spoločnosti NUATAN pozostávajú z odborných znalostí v oblasti dizajnu, know-how v oblasti materiálovej vedy a schopnosti kombinovať tieto dve oblasti tak, ktoré aby tvorili inovatívne riešenia zodpovedajúce trhovým požiadavkam na produky a zákazníkov. Základnými prvkami služby sú dodávka optimalizovaného materiálu, polotovaru, štúdie dizajnu a/alebo produktu prostredníctvom ktorých môže zákazník získať ekologický produkt predstavujúci udržateľnosť a inováciu vďaka novej generácie bioplastov. Plánované sú 4 obchodné streamy (toky), ktoré pracujú s B2B aj B2C typom klientov. Prvými oblasťami intervencie sú ,take-away' produkty stolového riadu na viacnásobné použitia a produkty/ polotovary pre módny sektor. V obidvoch oblastiach boli úspešne testované medziprodukty a prototypy produktov (TRL6-7). Nuatan má potenciál stať sa jednou z prvých spoločností s ponukou komplexných riešení pre skutočne ekologické vysoko kvalitné výrobky novej generácie spridanou hodnotou. Projekt priespieva k celkovému povedomiu a vzdelávaniu spoločnosti o environmentálnych problémoch a ponúka fuknčné riešenia na elimináciu dopadu nežiadúcich materiálov v produktoch bežnej spotreby.
