The Travel Time Value and its Importance to Traveller (MOBITIME) project emphasises the promotion of research into the value of travel time as well as its clear definition and relevance from the passenger’s point of view. Data collection carried out in several European countries will serve to achieve the results of the project. The data collected will then be processed and analysed in order to identify factors affecting the behaviour of passengers and their value of travel time, which will be available in the form of an open dataset available to the general public. The results of the project will also contribute to transport planning as well as to the development of new mobility services. The project is a direct follow-up to the Mobility and Time Value (MoTiV) project, which is funded under the H2020 programme and is in the implementation phase. The main objective of the MOBITIME project is to propose a multidimensional value of travel time from the perspective of the traveller and his individual needs and preferences. The milestones of the project include the collection of qualitative data related to the value of travel time, the processing and analysis of the data collected. Another objective of the project is the creation of an open dataset providing a comprehensive overview of preferences, behaviour and lifestyle, which influence passenger decisions when choosing transport, time spent preparing for travel and travel itself.
