The implementation of the project activities will allow to realize cross-border development through introduction of a new technology of non-intrusive customs inspection of vehicles at border crossing-point “Berestovitsa”. The project involves the construction of the X-ray scanning control system, including scanning equipment, a shed building for it and a building for personnel, utility systems, passways, parking for vehicles, training of experts to work with the scanning equipment, organization of speeded up inspection of vehicles, exchange of experience with the partner from the Republic of Poland on application of the x-ray data, after-sales service of the X-ray scanning system equipment, including the warranty period. The estimated results of the project: reduced time of border crossing, increased throughput capacity of the neighboring border crossing points, enhanced security at the border, intensification of socio-economic integration in the region, increase of the cargo flow, reduced queues at the border, lowered negative impact on the environment.
