As a result of the project at the Water Treatment Station in Mrągowo, located on plot No 42/12, r. 4, 180kw photovoltaic power plant will be built, producing solar-based electricity. The source of the electricity produced will be a modern installation located on a free-standing ground support structure, using photovoltaic cells collected in 600 modules with a unit power of 300 W and 3 three-phase inverters with a rated power of 60 kW each, producing 180.825 MWh/year of energy from renewable sources. By using a photovoltaic power plant to produce electricity, the costs of purchasing electricity for SUW in Mrągowo will be reduced. For safety reasons, the power plant will operate in an on-grid system (if there is an excess of energy production, the excess will be fed/sold to the public electricity grid). The specific objective of sub-measure 4.1 of the SzOOP is an increased share of renewable energy sources in the region’s overall energy balance. The planned photovoltaic power plant will produce 180.825 MWe of electricity annually, thus increasing the share of RES in the region’s overall energy balance. The project is eligible for funding in accordance with the assumptions described in the SZOOP and the competition rules as a project type: Activity 2: Construction, development and reconstruction of infrastructure (including purchase of necessary equipment) to produce electricity and/or heat from renewable energy sources, including solar installations (e.g. solar collectors, photovoltaics) – up to 2 MWe/MWth. Elektrownia – ze względów bezpieczeństwa – będzie działała w systemie on-grid (w przypadku, gdy wystąpi nadwyżka produkcji energii, jej nadmiar będzie oddawany/sprzedawany do publicznej sieci elektroenergetycznej). Celem szczegółowym poddziałania 4.1. zapisanym w SzOOP, jest zwiększony udział odnawialnych źródeł energii w ogólnym bilansie energetycznym regionu. Planowana do budowy elektrownia fotowoltaiczna wyprodukuje rocznie 180,825 MWe energii elektrycznej, a zatem wpłynie na zwiększenie udziału OZE w ogólnym bilansie energetycznym regionu.
