A área de intervenção corresponde, de certa forma, a uma sub-unidade do complexo edificado, uma vez que se encontra fisicamente separado da zona prisional pelo muro que constitui o caminho de guarda. Os edifícios 1 e 3 serão objeto de reconversão, o edifício 2 de demolição parcial e assegurar-se-á, ainda o tratamento dos espaços exteriores.
