H προτεινόμενη πράξη αφορά στην αποκατάσταση του Ιερού Ναού Αγ. Σπυρίδωνα, ενός από τα πλέον αξιόλογα και παλαιότερα θρησκευτικά μνημεία της Λευκάδας, ο οποίος βρίσκεται σε κεντρική πλατεία της πόλης. Ο Ναός είναι κηρυγμένος ως ιστορικό διατηρητέο μνημείο με την υπ' αριθ. 15904/24-11-1962 Υ.Α. (ΦΕΚ 473/Β'/17-12-1962).Το προτεινόμενο έργο περιλαμβάνει εργασίες στερέωσης και αποκατάστασης του μνημείου το οποίο σημαντικές βλάβες, ώστε αυτό πλέον να αποδοθεί αναστηλωμένο και λειτουργικό στους κατοίκους του νησιού και στους πολυάριθμους επισκέπτες του.
