Το έργο αφορά σε εργασίες που θα γίνουν για τη διαμόρφωση δημοτικού ακίνητου εμβαδού 490,20 m2, σε υπαίθριο δημόσιο χώρο. Ο προς διαμόρφωση χώρος βρίσκεται στη Δημοτική Ενότητα Νέας Ιωνίας του Δήμου Βόλου, στη συμβολή των οδώνΜαιάνδρου και Καισαρείας, όπου στεγαζόταν παλαιότερα ο χώρος αναψυχής «Καφενείο του Πέτρου», στο Ο. Τ. 228 Α. Στην πρόταση διαμόρφωσης περιλαμβάνεται η διαμόρφωση πλατείας, η φύτευση δέντρων σκίασης και η τοποθέτηση αστικού εξοπλισμού.Με την κατασκευή του έργου αποδίδεται σε κοινή χρήση ένας κεντρικός χώρος, εντός του πυκνοκατοικημένου τμήματος της περιοχής της Νέας Ιωνίας με ταυτόχρονη αύξηση του πρασίνου στην περιοχή.
