The aim of the project is to adapt the infrastructure to the legal requirements in order to increase the safety of cyclists to Osijek stakeholders — Bilge ensured a flexible link to the public transport lines in the City of Osijek, which will be achieved by reconstruction or modernisation of the existing 4.2 km cycle corridor, the modernisation of the existing cycle track. Following the modernisation of the cycle, the safety of cyclists will be increased, the safety of cyclists will be increased and the Osijek public transport routes to Osijek with a view to increase the use of multimodal connections with cycling — or to increase the number of passengers in public transport — and reduce the use of passenger cars in transport in the context of the ‘Ba-Osijek’ route and through the City of Osijek. Cilj projekta je prilagodba infrastrukture zakonskim zahtjevima kako bi se povećala sigurnost biciklista na dionici Osijek – Bilje te omogućila fleksibilna veza prema linijama javnog prijevoza u Gradu Osijeku, što će se ostvariti rekonstrukcijom odnosno modernizacijom postojeće biciklističke staze u dužini od 4,2 km. Nakon provedene modernizacije biciklističke staze, povećati će se sigurnost biciklista ali i otvoriti veza prema linijama javnog gradskog prijevoza u Osijeku sa namjerom povećanja korištenja multimodalne veze bicikli-tramvaj-autobus, odnosno povećanje broja putnika u javnom prijevozu, i smanjenje korištenja osobnih automobila u prometu na relaciji Bilje-Osijek i kroz Grad Osijek.
