The subject of the project planned by PUKiM Ekosystem Sp. z o.o. is a fundamental change in the production process consisting of rebuilding and equipping with high-performance sorting equipment operated by the Applicant of the Komunalna Installation (IK former. RIPOK) – MBP in Niedźwiedź (municipality of Dębowa Łąka), including a sorting line and a waste reception hall, which will reduce the amount of municipal waste subject to subsequent landfilling. The planned modernisation will not lead to an increase in the capacity of the existing installation for the treatment of mixed municipal waste. The need to modernise this part of the IK system is linked to the need to adapt the installation to the possibility of obtaining the level of recovery of packaging waste required by law. The Act of 19 July 2019 amending the Act on the maintenance of cleanliness and order in municipalities and certain other acts introduced a number of extremely important changes related to municipal waste management systems. The applicant is a private entity which performs public waste management tasks in the area of a total of 11 municipalities in 5 different districts (waste management services approx. 80,000 inhabitants). In addition, as part of the project, the Applicant will carry out a number of information and educational activities aimed at raising public awareness of the separate collection into the areas of his agglomeration. The planned projects are fully in line with the objective of Measure 4.2 of the ROP WK-P, which reads: increased share of separately collected waste. (English)

Ustawa z dnia 19 lipca 2019 r. o zmianie ustawy o utrzymaniu czystości i porządku w gminach oraz niektórych innych ustaw – wprowadziła szereg niezwykle istotnych zmian związanych z gminnymi systemami gospodarki odpadami komunalnymi. (Polish)
