The project will be implemented on the Żnin – Jaroszewo road section. The investment will be carried out from Jaroszew to Żnin from the national road no. 5 along the plots of land: 131/18, 131/15, 131/14, 131/13, 131/12, 132 located in Żnin and 130/6, 7, 10 located in Yaroszewo. The aim of the project is to create a safe connection for bicycles directly from Jaroszewo to the centre of the district, i.e. the city of Żnin. The implementation of the project is in line with the policy of sustainable development, as the results of its implementation will be achieved in accordance with the principles of protection of the centre. The project’s task is to implement a communication path connecting nearby towns with public buildings and allowing easy access to the workplace. The construction of a municipal bicycle system will be carried out in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and other air pollutants and thus improve the natural state of the centre. As a result of the availability of a safe cycling route, the movement of passenger cars in favour of cycling will be reduced, which entails a reduction in CO2 emissions. The length of the built cycle path is 3072 m. It is also envisaged to place elements of small architecture – a bench trash can stand for bicycles, a hybrid lamp. According to the demand analysis, as a result of the implementation of the project, i.e. in the first full year after the end of the 2019 project, 241 people/day will give up the car to the bicycle. On a yearly basis, it was assumed that these people would move along the path for 160 days, on a built distance, i.e. 3,072 km. both directions. Assuming that the average CO2 emissions of the car are 150 g CO2/km. Thus, the project will contribute to the reduction of CO2 of 35.61 Mg CO2/year. The value of the CO2 reduction rate in relation to the funds involved in the implementation of the project = 0,000044.Cost efficiency indicator per km of cycle path = PLN 304 042.40 of the co-financing.
