The main element of the project will be the three-year controlled and controlled grazing of the sheep on the selected 3 ha, which will allow the conservation of 5 protected habitats, 13 flora, 12, and one of the species. From the perspective of the production of a tourist and to stimulate the awareness of the ecolog. Małopolska and tourists are planning to build up to 3 ‘shepherds’, in which the concept of active conservation of habitats, protected species and the culture and tradition of pastoralism can be consulted. Other localisations will be created. information sheets describing the habitats and the valuable species on them will be created. The project will complete the monitoring of habitats that will verify the effectiveness and sustainability of the measures taken in relation to the endangered habitats (it will examine changes in relation to the period before the project), which will allow the creation of “good practices” for grazing and replication of activities over larger ones. The project will be complemented by the purchase of the necessary equipment to monitor habitats during and after the project, as well as the training of tanks, opening and closing conferences, as well as project publications.     Projekt polega na powstrzymaniu zjawiska wtórnej sukcesji na cennych przyrodniczo obszarach małopolskich Karpat poprzez prowadzenie wypasu owiec na ok. 3 tys. ha. Obszarem referencyjnym dla projektu są tereny Popradzkiego PK gdzie przeprowadzono szczeg. inwentaryzację całego obszaru i wytypowano 9 podobszarów wypasowych (o łącz. pow. 350 ha). Następnie wytypowano ok. 15 000 ha łąk w 9 regionach małopolski (tj. bez terenów położonych w PPK) obszarów cennych przyrodniczo. Na tym terenie zostanie przeprowadzona inwentaryzacja, która wskaże ostatecznie ok. 2 650 ha najcenniejszych siedliskach. W ten sposób projekt obejmie ok. 3 tys. ha (w 80 lokalizacjach), na których przeprowadzona zostanie pogłębiona inwentaryzacja przyrod., będąca podstawą wydania zaleceń dla baców oraz umożliwiająca monitoring skuteczności działań w czasie. Najważniejszym elem. projektu będzie trzyletni kontrolowany i sterowany wypas owiec na wytypowanych 3 tys. ha, co pozwoli na ochronę gatunkową 5 siedlisk objętych ochroną, 13 gat. flory, 12 gat. fauny i jednego gat. grzybów. Z punktu widzenia rozw. prod. turyst. oraz pobudzania świadomości ekolog. Małopolan i turystów planuje się budowę 3 bacówek edukac., w których będzie można zapoznać się z ideą czynnej ochrony siedlisk, chronionymi gatunkami oraz kulturą i tradycją pasterską. W pozostałych lokaliz. powstaną pojed. tablice informac. opisujące siedliska i cenne gatunki na nich występujące. Projekt zakończy monitoring siedlisk, który zweryfikuj skuteczność i trwałość podejmowanych działań w odniesieniu do zagrożonych siedlisk (będzie badał ich zmianę w stosunku do okresu sprzed projektu), co da możliwość stworzenia tzw. dobrych praktyk wypasowych i replikowania działań na większych obsz. Małopolski. Uzupełnieniem projektu będzie zakup przez ZPKWM niezbędnego wyposażenia służącego monitoringowi siedlisk w trakcie trwania projektu i po jego zakończeniu, a także szkolenia baców, konferencje otwierające i zamykające, a także publik. projektowe.
