    Förstudien avser att undersöka förutsättningar för ett genomförandeprojekt med syfte att öka andelen företag inom livsmedelsförädling som utvecklar sina affärsidéer i samarbete med forskningen, och därigenom stärka konkurrenskraften inom denna industri. Målet är att företagen inom livsmedelsindustrin i regionen ska öka sin tillväxt genom att generera, testa och genomföra fler affärsidéer i hela värdekedjan, i samverkan med forskningen. De aktiviteter som förstudien kommer att genomföra är inventering av regionens företag/företagsgrupper inom livsmedelsindustrin, och skapa en bild av hur deras värdekedjor ser ut, samt vilket innovationsbehov som branschen ser. Vidare avses identifiera idéer till tänkbara innovations- eller testprojekt, samt hur de kan stödjas. Identifiera relevanta FoU-aktörer, innanför och utanför regionen, samt möjligheter till transnationellt samarbete som skulle kunna bidra till regional utveckling och benchmarking. Förstudien ska även undersöka hur de horisontella kriterierna kan byggas in i ett genomförande projekt. Resultatet av förstudien ska generera ett underlag för att identifiera förutsättningar att formera ett genomförandeprojekt. (Swedish)

    The feasibility study intends to investigate the prerequisites for an implementation project with the aim of increasing the proportion of companies in food processing that develop their business ideas in collaboration with research, thereby strengthening the competitiveness of this industry. The goal is for companies in the food industry in the region to increase their growth by generating, testing and implementing more business ideas throughout the value chain, in collaboration with research. The activities that the feasibility study will carry out are inventory of the region’s companies/business groups in the food industry, and create a picture of their value chains, as well as what innovation needs the industry looks like. Furthermore, the aim is to identify ideas for possible innovation or test projects, and how they can be supported. Identify relevant R & D actors, inside and outside the region, as well as opportunities for transnational cooperation that could contribute to regional development and benchmarking. The feasibility study will also examine how the horizontal criteria can be built into an implementation project. The results of the feasibility study will generate a basis for identifying the prerequisites to form an implementation project. (English)
