Förstudien syftar till att förbereda för ett kommande genomförandeprojekt, vars målsättning kommer att vara utveckling av järnvägsanläggningen inne på Gammelstads kombiterminals område (Tuvåkra). Förstudien ska mynna ut i ett projekteringsunderlag för eventuell utbyggnad av två nya stickspår i området. Utvecklingen av kombiterminalen kommer att förstärka behoven av omlastningar för bl.a.
