Projektet ska utföra betydande infrastrukturella åtgärder i Skellefteå hamn. Insatserna inom projektet syftar till att öka kapaciteten för sjötrafik i regionen samt bidra till miljövänligare transporter, förkortade transporttider och mindre transportkostnader för regionens företag. Projektets övergripande mål är att utveckla regionens sammanhängande godsstråk och noder med god kapacitet och tillgänglighet, anpassade efter dagens miljö- och säkerhetskrav. Projektets delmål som är direkt kopplade till projektets huvudaktiviteter är: ¿Utveckla funktionella ytor i hamn-området ¿Skapa en djupare hamn ¿Uppdatera kajlösningar och vägövergång ¿Skapa ett godkänt skalskydd ¿Skapa en miljömässigt godkänd infrastruktur.
