Projektmålet är att tillföra ny teknik, kompetens samt forskning och innovation, för att öka konkurrenskraften hos automationsföretagen och övrig industri. Branschen skall, efter periodens slut ha byggt upp en egen bas, både finansiellt och vad gäller antalet företag. Detta för att säkerställa framtida kompetensutveckling samt för att kunna leva vidare av egen kraft. Projektet förväntas bidra till att delar av arbetstillfällen som Jönköpingsregionen förlorat under 2000-talets första decennium återskapas, att utflyttningen av invånare minskar och att GGVV-kommunerna såväl som Jönköpings län och, på sikt, Småland som helhet blir en mer attraktiv region. När projektet upphör förväntas projektet och dess verksamheter och nätverk vara självgående och hållbara på längre sikt. (Swedish)
