The general objective of the project is to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of the District of Dubise Cerkiewne by means of the construction and conversion of a rural centre in Jamaica, along with the adjacent site for the Local Activity Centre. Reconstruction and adaptation of degraded facilities and spaces will restore and give new features to them: cultural, social, recreational and educational. The implementation of the project “Rebuilding and adapting the village centre in Jamaica together with an adjacent beach for the purposes of the Local Activity Centre” aims at structuring and managing the public spaces that will be accessible to local residents. Both the age group and the adjacent beach will be accessible to residents and tourists at all times. New cultural, social and recreational functions will be gained with the heart and the beach. The site will be organised and managed in such a way as to make it accessible to disabled persons. All barriers that hamper access to the square will be eliminated. In addition, the whole site will be fenced to improve the safety of the land users, including in particular children and young people. Architectural barriers (high thresholds) which have been burdensome for the elderly, persons with disabilities and children will also be removed. The project’s activities will be carried out in accordance with a universal design, where the user places it at the centre, which is a prerequisite for ensuring equal opportunities for people with disabilities, the elderly and the youngest.
