Celem projektu realizowanego przez Sanatorium Uzdrowiskowe „Przy Tężni” jest dostosowanie posiadanej infrastruktury do potrzeb osób starszych i z niepełnosprawnościami. Obniżenie całej linii brzegowej przebudowanego basenu rehabilitacyjnego o 20 cm , co zapewni większe bezpieczeństwo osobom starszym i z niepełnosprawnością w czasie wykonywania zabiegów. Budowa nowego basenu sprawi, iż więcej Pacjentów Sanatorium Uzdrowiskowego „ Przy Tężni” będzie mogło korzystać z zabiegów leczenia chorób układu krążenia, układu kostno–stawowego i mięśniowego oraz układu oddechowego. Inwestycja ta umożliwi korzystanie z zabiegów leczniczych dla dużej grupy osób. Budowa nowej pijalni wód, w związku z pozytywnym wpływem na układ immunologiczny i odpornościowy, poprawi efektywny leczenia osób starszych oraz z niepełnosprawnościami jak również przyczyni się do powrotu osób niepełnosprawnych na rynek pracy.
