Cílem projektu je především ochrana přírody Krkonošského národního parku. Projekt řeší eliminaci negativních vlivů na přilehlý terén turistických chodníků U Čtyř pánů - Česká budka, nacházejících se v I. zóně KRNAP a Černá hora - stezka k rozhledně (III. zóna). Povrch chodníků je intenzivním využíváním návštěvníky Krkonoš a vlivem eroze poškozen. Rekonstrukcí chodníků dojde k usměrnění návštěvníků a k eliminaci negativních dopadů na cenné ekosystémy.
