Projekt řeší protipovodňovou ochranu zastavěného území Obce Libchavy (okres Ústí nad Orlicí) před povodňovými průtoky na Libchavském potoce a na jeho bočních přítocích. Délka řešeného úseku Libchavského potoka činí 5,080 km, celkový počet bočních přítoků s kritickými body je 10. V projektu budou posuzovány tyto typy protipovodňových opatření; 1) výstavba retenčních nádrží na přítocích Libchavského potoka, 2) zvýšení průtočné kapacity Libchavského potoka v dílčích úsecích zastavěného území obce.
