Účelem projektu je vytvoření nového doktorského studijního programu Regionální ekonomie. Takto zaměřený program dlouhodobě chybí v nabídce doktorského studia ESF MU i jiných univerzit. Vytvoření programu, na kterém se budou významně podílet i zahraniční odborníci, umožní studentům zvyšovat jejich odbornou kvalifikaci, zlepší jejich předpoklady pro výzkumnou práci a tedy i motivaci k výzkumné a akademické kariéře. Tímto krokem bude současně podpořena možnost rozvoje kvalitních výzkumných týmů. (Czech)
