Cílem projektu je instrumentálně a technologicky vylepšit vybavení Centra materiálů a nanotechnogií, jehož výzkum je zaměřený na nano- a mikrostruktury chalkogenidových a oxidických materiálů. Již nainstalovaná zařízení (např. ALD) potřebují komplementární materiálově-analytické techniky (XPS, XRD, SEM). V souladu s plánem rozvoje CEMNAT jsou třeba zařízení pro syntézy materiálů.
