Projekt je zaměřen na výzkum nové koncepce technologie pro akumulaci elektřiny v tlakovém vzduchu. Předmětem je nová koncepce technologie pro akumulaci, která zajistí vysokou účinnost akumulace (přes 70 %), vysokou flexibilitu a umožní rychlé dosažení špičkového výkonu (od 2 do 4 min). Nové řešení spočívá ve spojení zařízení pro akumulaci a špičkovou výrobu elektřiny s klasickým energetickým zdrojem na fosilní i alternativní paliva.
