The subject of the project “Revitalisation of the city centre of Nidzica” is the reconstruction and renovation of the town hall of the Nidzica commune in Nidzica and the construction of a road (masonry street) in Nidzica. The investment area is located entirely in a degraded area, characterised by a particular concentration of negative social phenomena, which is also of great importance for local development. The implementation of the project derives directly from the needs of the socio-economic environment described in the municipal revitalisation programme, as part of the “Superlocal revitalisation programme of Cittaslow city network”. The revitalisation and modernisation of the public space is described in the document as a fundamental potential in combating the effects of social exclusion. As part of the project, road traffic is planned to move outside the market and lead it along a parallel masonry street (manufacturing a stone pavement with dehydration, lighting, construction of pavements from concrete cube), which will serve commercial and service facilities located in adjacent areas. Business access to facilities in the market will be facilitated and new commercial and service points will be created. As part of the development of the basement of the town hall, it is planned to create, among others: exhibition hall, memorial hall, conference room and premises for associations and non-governmental organisations. As a result, opportunities will be created to create new jobs related to small trade, cleanliness and order. The above actions are part of the Priority Axis 8 Areas requiring revitalisation. The project is the final element filling the last gap in the existing infrastructure in this area of the city. Przedmiotem projektu „Rewitalizacja centrum miasta Nidzica” jest przebudowa i remont budynku ratusza miejskiego Gminy Nidzica na terenie miasta Nidzica oraz budowa drogi (ulicy Murarskiej) w Nidzicy. Teren inwestycji zlokalizowany jest w całości na obszarze zdegradowanym, cechującym się szczególną koncentracją negatywnych zjawisk społecznych, mający jednocześnie ogromne znaczenie dla rozwoju lokalnego. Realizacja projektu wynika bezpośrednio z potrzeb środowiska społeczno-gospodarczego opisanych w gminnym programie rewitalizacji, w ramach „Ponadlokalnego programu rewitalizacji sieci miast Cittaslow”. Rewitalizacja i modernizacja przestrzeni publicznej została opisana w dokumencie jako podstawowy potencjał w zwalczaniu skutków wykluczenia społecznego. W ramach projektu planuje się przeniesienie ruchu drogowego poza obręb rynku i poprowadzenie go równoległą ulicą Murarską (wykonanie nawierzchni kamiennej wraz z odwodnieniem, oświetleniem, budowie chodników z kostki betonowej), która posłuży do obsługi obiektów handlowo- usługowych zlokalizowanych na terenach przyległych. Ułatwi się dostęp przedsiębiorców do obiektów znajdujących się w rynku i umożliwi tworzenie nowych punktów handlowo- usługowych. W ramach zagospodarowania piwnicy ratusza planuje się stworzenie m.in.: sali ekspozycyjnej, izby pamięci, sali konferencyjnej oraz pomieszczeń przeznaczonych dla stowarzyszeń i organizacji pozarządowych. W efekcie zostaną stworzone możliwości do powstania nowych miejsc pracy związanych z prowadzeniem drobnego handlu oraz utrzymaniem czystości i porządku. Powyższe działania wpisują się w założenia Osi priorytetowej 8 Obszary wymagające rewitalizacji. Projekt jest końcowym elementem wypełniającym ostatnią lukę w istniejącej infrastrukturze w tym obszarze miasta. Będzie wykorzystywał produkty i rezultaty zrealizowanych już projektów(pkt. 2.3.1 SW).
