In order to improve rescue operations, the project plans to purchase a rescue and fire-extinguishing car and additional equipment and specialised equipment for the Volunteer Fire Service unit in Połaniec. The specific objective of the project is to: improving the equipment of TSOs, rejuvenating the rolling stock of TSOs, professionalising TSOs, improving the safety of residents, improving the working conditions of firefighters, increasing the role and importance of TSOs among the public, encouraging voluntary service in the TSO. The need to implement the project stems from the need to ensure safety for both residents and the environment. Despite well-trained firefighters who systematically improve their skills and qualifications, existing accessibility gaps to modern specialist equipment do not always allow for efficient performance of tasks. The objective of the project is in line with the specific objectives for Priority Axis 4. RPOWS 2014-2020 “Natural and Cultural Heritage” and the objective of Action 4.1 “To counteract and eliminate the effects of natural disasters”. Przedmiotem niniejszego projektu jest zakup dodatkowego sprzętu i wyposażenia dla jednostki Ochotniczej Straży Pożarnej w Połańcu będącej w Krajowym Systemie Ratowniczo – Gaśniczym. Projekt będzie realizowany na terenie Gminy Połaniec (woj. świętokrzyskie). Głównym założeniem realizacji przedmiotowego projektu jest skuteczne zapobieganie potencjalnym zagrożeniom, w tym ochrona życia ludzkiego, ochrona dobra materialnego mieszkańców, jak i ograniczenie negatywnych skutków na środowisko naturalne. W celu usprawnienia akcji ratowniczych w ramach projektu planuje się zakup samochodu ratowniczo - gaśniczego oraz dodatkowego sprzętu i wyposażenia specjalistycznego dla jednostki Ochotniczej Straży Pożarnej w Połańcu. Celem szczegółowym projektu jest: poprawa wyposażenia OSP, odmłodzenie taboru wozów bojowych OSP, sprofesjonalizowanie OSP, poprawa bezpieczeństwa mieszkańców, poprawa warunków pracy strażaków, podniesienie roli i znaczenia OSP wśród społeczeństwa, zachęcenie do ochotniczej służby w OSP. Konieczność realizacji projektu wynika z potrzeb w zakresie zapewnienia bezpieczeństwa zarówno mieszkańcom jak i środowisku. Pomimo dobrze wyszkolonych strażaków, którzy systematycznie podnoszą swoje umiejętności i kwalifikacje, istniejące braki w zakresie dostępności do nowoczesnego sprzętu specjalistycznego nie zawsze pozwalają na sprawne wykonywanie zadań. Cel projektu jest zgodny z celami szczegółowymi wyznaczonymi dla Osi priorytetowej 4. RPOWŚ 2014-2020 "Dziedzictwo naturalne i kulturowe" oraz celem działania 4.1 "Przeciwdziałanie skutkom klęsk żywiołowych oraz usuwanie ich skutków".
