Projekt obejmuje swoim zakresem przeprowadzenie prac adaptacyjno-budowlanych w budynkach poprzemysłowych XIX wiecznej Kolonii Alfred, wraz z zagospodarowaniem przyległego otoczenia, jako część infrastrukturalna całościowego programu społecznego mającego na celu zwiększenie integracji społeczno-gospodarczej mieszkańców obszaru rewitalizacji Katowice Wełnowiec-Józefowiec. Obszar objęty projektem jest terenem poprzemysłowym, posiadającym wartość zabytkową. Przeprowadzone zostaną prace budowlane wraz z termomodernizacją, prace związane z zagospodarowaniem zieleni wraz z elementami małej architektury, obszar zostanie zabezpieczony z wykorzystaniem monitoringu. Infrastruktura powstała w projekcie zostanie wykorzystana na utworzenie Centrum Usług Społecznych dla Rodziny, prowadzącego działania mające na celu zmniejszanie problemu ubóstwa i wykluczenia społecznego.
