Przedsięwzięcie polegać będzie na budowie farm fotowoltaicznych na trzech obiektach należących do PWiK, w tym na terenie Oczyszczalni Ścieków. Łączna zainstalowana moc wyniesie 132,3 kWp i umożliwi pozyskanie ok. 127 836 kWh zielonej energii rocznie (1 rok po realizacji inwestycji). Dzięki realizacji projektu wzrośnie poziom wykorzystania OZE w regionie, nastąpi poprawa efektywności energetycznej regionu, poprawi się także poziom czystości powietrza atmosferycznego dzięki ograniczeniu zużycia energii pozyskiwanej ze źródeł tradycyjnych.
