Projekt obejmuje skanalizowanie części terenu gminy w zakresie zlewni P1 w Jankowicach, z odprowadzeniem ścieków do oczyszczalni w Świerklanach. Przedsięwzięcie obejmuje budowę kanałów sanitarnych (kanały grawitacyjne i tłoczne wraz z obiektami towarzyszącymi), sieci kanałów bocznych wraz z odcinkami kanałów wyprowadzonych w kierunku posesji i zakończonych studzienkami przyłączeniowymi DN 400 usytuowanymi na posesjach. W projektowanym systemie kanalizacyjnym całość ścieków bytowogospodarczych zostanie doprowadzona do istniejącej modernizowanej pompowni ścieków, a dalej do zmodernizowanej Oczyszczalni Ścieków w Świerklanach.
