Project implemented by the Clinical Centre of Gynecology, Obstetrics and Neonatology in Opole with partners – University Clinical Hospital in Opole and the Health Care Team in Nysa – BC. “Coordinated and comprehensive family support in specialist counselling, prevention, diagnosis and correction of abnormalities in the development of children under the age of 2” assumes the care of pregnant women and her young children. Through services addressed to women under the age of 35, they will be supported by measures aimed at early detection of foetal malformations in prenatal studies and the possibility of treating them even before the birth of the child. As part of the identified needs, parents will be supported in particular situations in the form of specialised counseling, such as psychological, dietary or physiotherapist. One of the major health problems in neonatological and paediatric care is the occurrence of malformations. It is extremely important to provide adequate care for the child, ranging from specialist diagnostics to comprehensive rehabilitation, which will be provided by a team of specialists from the Gynecological and Obstetric Hospital in Opole. There will also be health education on the correct development of the child, nutritional counselling of children with eating disorders and psychological consultations between parents and children. The project also aims to improve the health of the local community through the implementation of the pneumococcal vaccination programme. As part of the project, training will also be carried out for staff providing medical services and extensive information and education activities informing the public of the Opole voivodship about the programme implemented. The project will cover the central area of the Opolskie voivodship, including the districts of Opole, Opole, Nysa and Prudnicki. (English)
