Głównym celem projektu jest zwiększenie produkcji energii z odnawialnych źródeł - energii słonecznej w województwie podkarpackim poprzez budowę elektrowni fotowoltaiczne 1,17 MW, zamieniającej energię promieniowania słonecznego w drodze bezpośredniej konwersji na prąd elektryczny (bezpośrednia realizacja celu szczegółowego działania 3.1 RPOWP).Celami szczegółowymi będą:1. Zwiększony poziom produkcji energii z odnawialnych źródeł energii w generacji rozproszonej. 2. Obniżona emisyjność pyłów w ośrodkach miejskich województwa.3.
