The subject of the project is to carry out the necessary conservation and construction works including the main body of the Chair. The elevations of the Holy Cross in Opole, i.e. the main nave and the northern and southern naves. The aim of the planned works is to restore the fully original aesthetic appearance of the cathedral’s interior by deciphering its original gothic character, referred to as the re-reading of the interior. In addition, the project provides for a number of actions aimed at increasing the attractiveness and accessibility of the cultural and educational offer of the Cathedral Parish and the Opole Cathedral. As a result of the project, the following products will be created: • Number of real-estate monuments supported (1 pieces) • Number of supported cultural heritage objects (1 pieces) • Number of objects tailored to the needs of people with disabilities (1 pieces) • Number of projects which financed the costs of rational improvements for people with disabilities (1 pieces) The Cathedral in Opole is one of the oldest monumental Silesian sacral buildings. It depicts the most complex forms of Upper Silesian sacral architecture from the first half of the fifteenth century. The building of the Opole Cathedral is included in the register of monuments of the Opole Voivodeship. In addition, the Cathedral is located within the limits of the medieval urban layout of the city of Opole, also entered in the register of monuments of the Opolskie Voivodeship and is located within the boundaries of the “A” zone of conservation protection. The direct effect of the project will be: • Supporting a valuable monument of Opole land, which is a unique resource of cultural heritage; • Restoration and protection against degradation of a historic object which is a valuable cultural heritage of the Opole region, which is the Cathedral of Opole; • Adaptation of the Opole Cathedral to the needs of people with disabilities; • Introduction of additional ICT equipment and solutions for improving the quality of the parish’s cultural offer.     Przedmiotem projektu jest wykonanie niezbędnych prac konserwatorsko-budowlanych obejmujących korpus główny Katedry pw. Podwyższenia Krzyża Świętego w Opolu tj. nawę główną oraz nawy północną i południową. Celem zaplanowanych prac jest przywrócenie w pełni oryginalnego wyglądu estetycznego wnętrza Katedry poprzez uczytelnienie jego pierwotnego, gotyckiego charakteru, określanego jako regotyzacja wnętrza. Dodatkowo, w ramach projektu przewidziano szereg działań mających na celu podniesienie atrakcyjności i dostępności do oferty kulturalnoedukacyjnej Parafii Katedralnej i Katedry opolskiej. W wyniku realizacji projektu powstaną następujące produkty: • Liczba zabytków nieruchomych objętych wsparciem (1szt.) • Liczba wspartych obiektów dziedzictwa kulturowego (1szt.) • Liczba obiektów dostosowanych do potrzeb osób z niepełnosprawnościami (1szt.) • Liczba projektów, w których sfinansowano koszty racjonalnych usprawnień dla osób z niepełnosprawnościami (1szt.) Katedra w Opolu jest jedną z najstarszych monumentalnych śląskich budowli sakralnych. Przedstawia najbardziej zespolone formy górnośląskiej architektury sakralnej z pierwszej połowy XV wieku. Obiekt Katedry opolskiej wpisany jest do rejestru zabytków województwa opolskiego. Ponadto, Katedra zlokalizowana jest w granicach średniowiecznego układu urbanistycznego miasta Opole również wpisanego do rejestru zabytków województwa opolskiego oraz usytuowana jest w granicach strefy „A” ochrony konserwatorskiej. Bezpośrednim efektem realizacji projektu będzie: • Objęcie wsparciem wartościowego zabytku ziemi opolskiej, stanowiącego unikatowy zasób dziedzictwa kulturowego; • Odrestaurowanie i zabezpieczenie przed degradacją zabytkowego obiektu stanowiącego cenne dziedzictwo kulturowe Opolszczyzny, jakim jest Katedra opolska; • Dostosowanie obiektu Katedry opolskiej do potrzeb osób niepełnosprawnych; • Wprowadzenie dodatkowego wyposażenia i rozwiązań teleinformatycznych służących poniesieniu jakości oferty kulturalnej Parafii.
