The project involves revitalisation of the Old Town area together with adjacent streets in the Szydłowiec commune. The scope of work shall include: development of the floodplain with sports and recreational infrastructure – pitches, skate park, parking lots, execution of a walk along the Korzeniówka river from ul. Sports to the Great Market Square – along with the construction of an access road to Rzeczna Street, construction of culverts, reconstruction of streets: Source, River, fortification of the Korzeniówka river in Szydłowiec, renovation of the building of voluntary fire service and adaptation of the building’s floor for show and common room purposes (modernisation of the former Cinema Górnik), located at Strażacka Street, in the centre of Szydłowiec. As a result of the project, public space and the TSO building will be developed. The overarching objective of the project, in line with the objective of Action 6.2 of WM ROPs, is to revitalise the marginalised areas by restoring or giving them new socio-economic functions. The main aim of the project is to revitalise the Old Town along with adjacent streets. The implementation of the project will increase accessibility to social services, create conditions for moving away from forms of institutional care for environmental care (not excluding fixed forms of care), increase employment of people living in the area indicated in the revitalisation programme to revitalisation, make space available for business activities of a service and commercial character (excluding large-scale facilities), including the sale of local and regional products. The beneficiary of the measures is JST Szydłowiec Municipality. The final beneficiaries of the project will be residents of the municipality, especially residents of the revitalisation area. The most important stages of the project carried out by employees of the Municipal Office in Szydłowiec are: submission of an application, carrying out a public contract, monitoring the implementation of the project, settlement of the project, supervision of the investment and operation. Projekt obejmuje rewitalizację obszaru Starego Miasta wraz z przyległymi ulicami na terenie Gminy Szydłowiec. Zakres prac obejmuje: zagospodarowanie terenu zalewu infrastrukturą sportowo - rekreacyjną – boiska, skate park, parkingi, wykonanie ciągu pieszego nad rzeką Korzeniówką od ul. Sportowej do Rynku Wielkiego – wraz z budową drogi dojazdowej do ulicy Rzecznej, budową przepustów, przebudową ulic: Źródlanej, Rzecznej, umocnieniem brzegów rzeki Korzeniówki w Szydłowcu, remont budynku ochotniczej straży pożarnej oraz adaptacji piętra budynku na cele widowiskowo – świetlicowe (modernizacja dawnego Kina Górnik), zlokalizowanego przy ulicy Strażackiej, w centrum Szydłowca. W wyniku realizacji projektu zagospodarowana zostanie przestrzeń publiczna oraz budynek OSP. Celem nadrzędnym przedmiotowego projektu, zgodnie z celem działania 6.2 RPO WM, jest ożywienie obszarów zmarginalizowanych poprzez przywrócenie lub nadanie im nowych funkcji społeczno-gospodarczych. Celem głównym projektu jest rewitalizacja Starego Miasta wraz z przyległymi ulicami. Realizacja projektu wpłynie na zwiększenie dostępności do usług społecznych, stworzenie warunków na odejście od form opieki instytucjonalnej na rzecz opieki środowiskowej (nie wykluczając stacjonarnych form opieki), zwiększenie zatrudnienia osób zamieszkujących obszar wskazany w programie rewitalizacji do rewitalizacji, udostępnienie przestrzeni do działalności gospodarczej o charakterze usługowo-handlowym (z wykluczeniem obiektów wielkopowierzchniowych), w tym sprzedaży produktów lokalnych i regionalnych. Beneficjentem środków jest JST Gmina Szydłowiec. Beneficjentami ostatecznymi projektu będą natomiast mieszkańcy Gminy, w szczególności mieszkańcy obszaru rewitalizacji. Najważniejszymi etapami projektu realizowanymi przez pracowników Urzędu Miejskiego w Szydłowcu jest: złożenie wniosku, przeprowadzenie zamówienia publicznego, monitoring realizacji projektu, rozliczenie projektu, nadzór nad inwestycją i eksploatacja.
