The subject of research work carried out in cooperation with the SGGW in Warsaw (Department of Wood Technology) is the development of a new type of light plate for acrylic wrapping and veneer joining, which will be used to make an ecological kitchen dedicated to disabled and elderly people. The above-mentioned works will provide the basis for designing intelligent solutions, consisting of: the possibility of using wider fronts, proprietary connection system, RES systems (energy cogeneration using batteries for storing it) and conversion algorithms, for the prototype of the application that manages particular functionalities in the kitchen (voice and automatic opening/closing of cabinets, control of shelves release systems and whole cabinet systems, etc.). Automation and illumination of the furniture rant will be supported by energy obtained directly from the lost heat generated in the kitchen (fridge work, freezer, eaves, dishwashers, etc.). This design of solutions will determine the product innovation of our solutions. Due to the nature of the works and their uniqueness in the world, we assume that once the project is completed, the results obtained will be submitted to the patent office in order to ensure legal protection. The multi-faceted aspects of the project’s issues stem from both the needs of the market itself and the expectations of customers. On the one hand, work on obtaining new types of discs will reduce the cost of production compared to traditional MDF discs, and on the other hand increase their functionality (application to larger front surfaces with reduced weight). Thanks to this, this will also relieve the work of the designed automation system. Thanks to the solutions used, the project also contributes to environmental objectives related to the use of energy from RES and to reduce the amount of material consumed, including natural resources.
