In implementing the project, WWCOiT im. Kopernik in Łódź will undertake activities supporting and supplementing the screening programme for early detection of colorectal cancer aimed at increasing the reporting for preventive tests. After analysing the level of reporting for research in the Łódź Voivodship, the applicant decided that the project will include the population of powiats with the lowest reporting rate for colonoscopic tests. Participants of the project will be all people aged 50-65 years regardless of family history, 40-65 years old, having a first-degree relative who was diagnosed with colorectal cancer and 25-65 years old, from a family with Lynch syndrome. The activities set up in the project will focus on eliminating barriers to access to preventive research. Reaching people from these areas will contribute to the objective of increasing participation in prevention surveys in regions with particularly low reporting levels. The partners will carry out local information and education activities (open meetings and workshops in the field of health education) and training of GP medical staff on the implementation of preventive measures for early detection of colorectal cancer. Participants of the project will have a colonoscopic examination in the best oncology centre in the region, which is the M. Copernicus WWCOiT in Łódź. Participants will also be provided with access to and from the study, providing information on the preparation of the study, possible care of dependents, transfer of laxatives. The project will also purchase medical equipment – 1 colonoscopes, to increase the possibilities of patient flow and shorten the waiting time for the examination. The actions envisaged for the project shall respect the principle of equal opportunities and non-discrimination, the principle of sustainable development and the principle of universal design. Uczestnikami projektu będą wszystkie osoby w wieku 50-65 lat niezależnie od wywiadu rodzinnego, 40-65 lat, mające krewnego pierwszego stopnia, u którego rozpoznano raka jelita grubego i osoby w wieku 25-65 lat, pochodzące z rodziny z zespołem Lyncha. Partnerzy przeprowadzą działania informacyjno-edukacyjne o charakterze lokalnym (otwarte spotkania i warsztaty z zakresu edukacji zdrowotnej) i szkolenia personelu medycznego placówek POZ z zakresu realizacji działań profilaktycznych dla wczesnego wykrywania raka jelita grubego. Działania przewidziane do realizacji w projekcie są zgodne z zasadą równości szans i niedyskryminacji, zasadą zrównoważonego rozwoju i zasadą projektowania uniwersalnego. (Polish)
