The aim of the project “Construction of the Łódź Agglomeration Railway Stage II” is to improve the transport accessibility of the Łódź Voivodeship by extending the transport activities of the Łódź Agglomeration Railway sp. o.o. in the area of the railway sections: Gałkówek/Koluszki-Tomaszów Mazowiecki-Opoczno, Gałkówek/Koluszki-Piotrków Trybunalski-Radomsko, Skierniewice-Łowicz-Kutno and improvement of ŁKA’s transport offer in relations from Łódź to Skierniewice, Sieradz, Kutno and Łowicz. The target group is: residents of the Łódź Voivodeship and visitors travelling to and from work, schools, universities, public and cultural institutions, for tourist purposes. The project’s material scope is in line with the permissible scope of support under Priority Axis III Transport, Action III.4 Railway Transport, ROP WŁ for the years 2014-2020 and the objective of the action. As part of the project, 14 new three-member electric traction units (EZT) will be purchased for regional passenger services. The project incorporates the universal design concept in accordance with the “Guidelines for the implementation of the principle of equal opportunities and non-discrimination, including accessibility for people with disabilities and the principle of equal opportunities for men and women within the framework of EU funds for the period 2014-2020” of 8.05.2015. Vehicles will be adapted to the needs of people with disabilities: equipped with automatic platforms on both sides of the section located as close as possible to seats for persons with reduced mobility, wheelchair spaces equipped with backrests and safety belts for trolley fixing and sockets for charging battery trolleys, mobile ticket machines, toilet cabin with possibility of changing infants. The vehicles will have a one-space infinite interior with the participation of a low floor approx. 70 %, multifunctional passenger compartments with bicycles and large luggage, air conditioning and WiFi.     Celem Projektu „Budowa Łódzkiej Kolei Aglomeracyjnej Etap II” jest poprawa dostępności transportowej woj. łódzkiego poprzez rozszerzenie działalności przewozowej Łódzkiej Kolei Aglomeracyjnej sp. o.o. na obszarze woj. o odcinki linii kolejowych: Gałkówek/Koluszki–Tomaszów Mazowiecki–Opoczno, Gałkówek/Koluszki–Piotrków Trybunalski–Radomsko, Skierniewice-Łowicz–Kutno oraz poprawienie oferty przewozowej ŁKA w relacjach z Łodzi do Skierniewic, Sieradza, Kutna i Łowicza. Grupa docelowa, to: mieszkańcy województwa łódzkiego i przyjezdni podróżujący do i z pracy, szkół, uczelni, instytucji publicznych i kulturalnych, w celach turystycznych. Zakres rzeczowy projektu jest zgodny z dopuszczalnym zakresem wsparcia w ramach Osi Priorytetowej III Transport, Działanie III.4 Transport kolejowy, RPO WŁ na lata 2014-2020 oraz celem działania. W ramach projektu zakupionych zostanie 14 nowych, trzyczłonowych elektrycznych zespołów trakcyjnych (EZT) przeznaczonych do pasażerskich przewozów regionalnych. Projekt uwzględnia koncepcję projektowania uniwersalnego zgodnie z „Wytycznymi w zakresie realizacji zasady równości szans i niedyskryminacji, w tym dostępności dla osób z niepełnosprawnościami oraz zasady równości szans kobiet i mężczyzn w ramach funduszy unijnych na lata 2014-2020” z 8.05.2015r. Pojazdy będą dostosowane do potrzeb osób z niepełnosprawnościami: wyposażone w automatyczne platformy po obu stronach członu zlokalizowane jak najbliżej miejsc dla osób o ograniczonych możliwościach ruchowych, miejsca dla osób na wózkach inwalidzkich wyposażone w oparcia i pasy bezpieczeństwa do mocowania wózka z pasażerem oraz gniazdka umożliwiające ładowanie wózków akumulatorowych, mobilne automaty biletowe, kabinę WC z możliwością przewijania niemowląt. Pojazdy będą posiadały jednoprzestrzenne bezstopniowe wnętrze z udziałem niskiej podłogi ok. 70%, wielofunkcyjne przedziały dla pasażerów z rowerami i dużym bagażem, klimatyzację i sieć WiFi.
