The aim of the project “Potentials – new forms of social capital in the Opatów commune” is to develop, test and incorporate into the policy an innovative model of intervention aimed at reducing the dynamics of multidimensional poverty and social exclusion by changing the cognitive patterns of recipients, in line with the assumptions and using behavioural economic techniques. The recipients of the actions are family members in which the process of inheriting poverty is taking place. The design model is designed to inhibit these processes by changing the mental models of people exposed to social marginalisation processes, especially for all families with two or three generations of these processes. The project’s stakeholders are local institutions that will take part in the process of preparing and implementing the model, i.e. local NGOs, parish, local entrepreneurs, professional counselling staff, curators. Users of the model will be social assistance workers, especially social workers and family assistants, teachers and school psychologists. The main outcome of the project is to improve the effectiveness of measures on equalising life opportunities for children and young people in areas with dormant social capital, based on an innovative model for changing cognitive patterns and reducing the psychological and social costs of inheriting poverty. The model includes direct impacts in problem families targeting children and young people (with the help of a family assistant), as well as the use of working techniques in groups and environmental activation. An important element of the model is also the so-called. ‘blended learning’ combining traditional and digital learning techniques (using a social e-learning platform). (English)

Główny rezultat projektu to poprawa skuteczności działań w zakresie wyrównywania szans życiowych dzieci i młodzieży na obszarach o uśpionym kapitale społecznym w oparciu o opracowany innowacyjny model zmiany schematów poznawczych i zmniejszenia psychologicznych i społecznych kosztów związanych z dziedziczeniem ubóstwa. ‘blended learning’ łączący tradycyjne i cyfrowe techniki nauczania (z wykorzystaniem społecznościowej platformy e-learningowej). (Polish)
