The aim of the project is to improve functional connectivity between natural habitats located in the city of Warsaw. The specific objectives are to: — elimination of barriers and collisions created by the existing infrastructure – ensuring the free movement of animals in NATURA 2000 areas – reduction of animal mortality during migration between NATURA 2000 areas, i.e. They will leave Kampinoska and Kampinosská Vistula Valley, renaturise selected sections of the Vistula River and improve the quality of habitats for species typical of the Central Vistula Valley. These objectives will be achieved through a realistic complex of actions to eliminate barriers and collisions in order to improve the functioning of the region’s important ecological corridors within the boundaries of the city. The planned construction of the lower passageway for animals under national road No. 7 is aimed at reducing the collision and the spatial link between SOO Kampinoska Vistula Valley, SOO Kampinoska Forest and OSO Central Vistula Valley. The restoration of the mite character of the river is intended to restore the former Vistula landscape artificially changed as a result of human action, which will consequently improve the quality of habitats for species typical of river valleys, e.g. elk, otter, beaver, many species of birds, fish and plants associated with these environments. Removing obstacles to the terrain, removing alien invasive species and planting native species will improve the conditions for reproducing the sites of native species specific to this area. Information activities will strengthen awareness and good environmental habits among inmates. W-wy, popularise knowledge of birds and nature of Vistula, promote the idea of conservation of Natura 2000 sites and discover the value of the site. (English)

(Polish)
