The subject of this project is the addition of the second carriageway of the S1 expressway on the section of the “Airport” junction – Podwarpie junction from km 2 + 158 to km 11+ 880, i.e. 9.72 km long with the construction of engineering facilities, environmental protection equipment, road-related equipment (dehydration, road lighting) and reconstruction of existing technical infrastructure. The S1 expressway currently operates on the above section as a one-way expressway, i.e. the traffic of vehicles takes place in two directions on one road of the expressway, which was completed between 2002 and 2005. The beginning of the project is located in Mierzęcice commune, behind the “Airport” junction in km 2+ 158. The end of the study is located in the municipality of Siewierz, in front of the existing “Podwarpie” junction in km 11+ 880. By closely adjusting the situational and altitude to the roadway of the existing expressway, the design S1 road does not make significant changes to the current landscape. (English) | |||||||||||||||

Przedmiotem niniejszego projektu jest dobudowa drugiej jezdni drogi ekspresowej S1 na odcinku węzeł „Lotnisko” – węzeł „Podwarpie” od km 2+158 do km 11+880 tj. o długości 9,72 km wraz z budową obiektów inżynierskich, urządzeń ochrony środowiska, urządzeń związanych z drogą (odwodnienie, oświetlenie drogowe) oraz przebudową istniejącej infrastruktury technicznej. Droga ekspresowa S1 funkcjonuje w chwili obecnej na ww. odcinku jako jednojezdniowa droga ekspresowa tj. ruch pojazdów odbywa się dwukierunkowo na jednej jezdni drogi ekspresowej, zrealizowanej w latach 2002-2005. Początek projektu zlokalizowany jest na terenie gminy Mierzęcice, za węzłem „Lotnisko” w km 2+158. Koniec opracowania zlokalizowany jest na terenie gminy Siewierz, przed istniejącym węzłem „Podwarpie” w km 11+880. Poprzez ścisłe dopasowanie sytuacyjno – wysokościowe do jezdni istniejącej drogi ekspresowej, projektowana jezdnia S1 nie wprowadza istotnych zmian w obecnym krajobrazie. (Polish)
