The project is implemented in the district heating system Opole. The project is realised due to the targets set in Opole’s PGN to improve air quality by reducing primary energy consumption, reducing CO2 emissions and reducing dust emissions into the atmosphere. The project consists of 10 tasks to be carried out in the Opolskie Voivodeship, in the commune/city of Opole, in the area of streets: Oleska, Katowice, Krakowska, Żwirki and Wigura, Waryński, Copernicus, Podgórna, Kamienna, Okulicki, Sosnkowski and Koraszewski. The project involves modernisation of the heating infrastructure and will include the reconstruction of thermal networks, the construction of thermal connections with a total length of 2.63 km and the construction of 18 modern individual nodes resulting in the liquidation of 6 group nodes. The project covers two types of tasks. The first one assumes the conversion of sections of the high-parameter heat network into a network in the technology of pre-insulated materials in the area of streets: Oleska, Katowice, Okulicki and Sosnkowski in Opole. The existing sections of the channel network are in poor technical condition, have holes, channels are sealed, and thermal insulation and steel construction elements are degraded. This condition causes failures and therefore it is necessary to rebuild the above-mentioned sections of the network. The second type of tasks is related to the liquidation of group nodes and the change in the way the existing heat powered buildings in the street area in the area of streets: Żwirki and Wigura, Varyński, Copernicus, Podgórna, Kamienna and Koraszewski in Opole. To this end, it is planned to replace low-temperature, four-wire distribution networks, built in channel technology – bringing heat to buildings via a group node – networks and connections of high parameters, built from pre-insulated materials – providing heat through new individual exchanger nodes, equipped with automation and control systems... Projekt zakłada modernizację infrastruktury ciepłowniczej i będzie obejmował przebudowę sieci cieplnych, budowę przyłączy cieplnych o łącznej długości 2,63 km oraz budowę 18 nowoczesnych węzłów indywidualnych skutkującą likwidacją 6 węzłów grupowych. Projekt obejmuje dwa typy zadań. Pierwszy z nich zakłada przebudowę odcinków kanałowej sieci cieplnej wysokoparametrowej na sieć w technologii materiałów preizolowanych w rejonie ulic: Oleskiej, Katowickiej, Okulickiego i Sosnkowskiego w Opolu.
