The aim of the project is to develop a distributed system for improving the quality of electricity. The project is related to two very important parameters of the quality of electricity, which are the content of higher harmonics in currents and voltages, and passive power from the power grid. These two unfavourable phenomena are the reason for increased losses in the electricity system, i.e. a deterioration of the power ratio of the system. The project will develop devices to compensate passive power and eliminate higher harmonics from network currents, as well as software for optimal choice of compensating and filtering devices in a given power system. The innovation elements of the project concern both software and implemented algorithms, as well as devices that improve selected energy quality indicators. The planned studies should lead to the development of algorithms allowing optimal deployment of compensation and filtration equipment, taking into account the costs of their installation and calculating the expected profits, both financial (lowering losses and penalties) and qualitatively. The novelty of the proposed solution is also due to the main target market. The proposed solutions concern explosion-proof devices used in the coal and chemical industries. Another aspect of the novelty concerns the use of higher harmonic filters with hybrid topology. The proposed system is a combination of software and technical solutions that will improve the working conditions of the equipment, reduce losses and stability and security of power supply networks. An important element of the proposed solutions is the economic aspect. The use of compensators and filters will be (English)

Proponowane rozwiązania dotyczą bowiem urządzeń w wersji przeciwwybuchowej stosowanych w przemyśle węglowym i chemicznym. Inny aspekt nowości dotyczy wykorzystania filtrów wyższych harmonicznych o topologii hybrydowej. Proponowany system to połączenie oprogramowania z rozwiązaniami technicznymi, które będą prowadzić do poprawy warunków pracy urządzeń, obniżenia strat oraz stabilności i bezpieczeństwa sieci zasilających. Istotnym elementem proponowanych rozwiązań jest aspekt ekonomiczny. Zastosowanie kompensatorów i filtrów będzi (Polish)
