The project is implemented in a consortium comprising three scientific units: Poznan University of Technology, Institute of Plastic Processing in Poznań and the Institute of Non-ferrous Metals from Gliwice and the company & The Swarzędz Armature Factory. The project is a response to the market’s needs for the phasing out of lead brass by manufacturers of products intended to come into contact with drinking water. The project will develop the concept, basics and technical assumptions of waste-free forging elements of drinking water fittings from leadless copper alloys. The technological issue will be the verification of the possibility of modernising the test bench for testing automatic forging using induction heating. Groups of ecological copper alloys will be developed for components of water fittings, the impact of selected alloy additives and the morphology of the microstructure of the developed alloys on the cutting and resistance to corrosion processes resulting in the migration of harmful elements into water will be determined. The new alloys will be tested using numerical simulation of forging small and medium-sized forgings from unleaded material to determine the parameters of shaping technology, and plasticity tests will be carried out under semi-industrial conditions. The project will also address the problem of cutting rigorously tolerated weight for non-outflow forging. Development will be related to the implementation of mechanical press adaptation for the research station for testing the process of forging waste-free elements from new alloys in industrial conditions. The design and the prototype of the station will also be developed for the precise cutting of the initials. Technol will be tested in industrial conditions (English)

W ramach projektu zostanie opracowana koncepcja, podstawy i założenia techniczne bezodpadowego kucia elementów armatury wody pitnej z bezołowiowych stopów miedzi. Zagadnieniem technologicznym będzie weryfikacja możliwości modernizacji stanowiska badawczego do badania automatycznego kucia bezwypływkowego przy użyciu nagrzewania indukcyjnego. Zostaną opracowane grupy ekologicznych stopów miedzi przeznaczonych na elementy armatury wodnej, zostanie określony wpływ wybranych dodatków stopowych oraz morfologii mikrostruktury opracowywanych stopów na skrawalność i odporność na procesy korozyjne powodujące migrację szkodliwych pierwiastków do wody. Nowe stopy będą przebadane za pomocą symulacji numerycznych kucia bezwypływkowego małych i średnich odkuwek z materiału bezołowiowego w celu ustalenia parametrów technologii kształtowania, a następnie w warunkach półprzemysłowych wykonane zostaną badania plastyczności. W ramach projektu zostanie również rozwiązany problem ucinania wstępniaka o rygorystycznie tolerowanej masie na potrzeby kucia bezwypływkowego. Prace rozwojowe będą związane z wykonaniem adaptacji prasy mechanicznej na potrzeby stanowiska badawczego do badania procesu kucia bezodpadowego elementów z nowych stopów w warunkach przemysłowych. Zostanie również opracowana konstrukcja i wykonany prototyp stanowiska do dokładnego ucinania wstępniaków. W warunkach przemysłowych zostaną przetestowane technol (Polish)
