The project concerns the development, development and preparation for the implementation of a specialised, innovative impulse tomograph for spatial imaging of neurodegenerative changes using electron paramagnetic resonance imaging. The tomograph developed as part of the project aims to advance scientifically, in order to finally scale for clinical application and to meet patients’ needs for proper diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases. The tomograph will allow the examination of larger objects than before, in a much shorter and more accurate way. The objectives of the project are to: development of innovative impulse technology to reduce dead tomograph time, influence of field B1 heterogeneity on the recorded signal and at the same time increase the amplitude of the recorded EPR signal, validate the device in real conditions and obtain CE certification. Projekt dotyczy opracowania, rozwoju i przygotowania do wdrożenia specjalistycznego, innowacyjnego tomografu impulsowego do przestrzennego obrazowania zmian neurodegeneracyjnych z wykorzystaniem techniki elektronowego rezonansu paramagnetycznego. Opracowany w ramach projektu tomograf ma służyć postępowi naukowemu, celem ostatecznego przeskalowania do zastosowania klinicznego i zaspokojenia potrzeb pacjentów w zakresie prawidłowej diagnostyki chorób neurodegeneracyjnych. Tomograf umożliwi badanie większych obiektów niż dotychczas, w sposób znacznie krótszy i bardziej dokładny. Cele projektu to: opracowanie technologii innowacyjnej techniki impulsowej umożliwiającej zniwelowanie czasu martwego tomografu, wpływu niejednorodności pola B1 na rejestrowany sygnał oraz jednocześnie wzrost amplitudy rejestrowanego sygnału EPR, walidacja urządzenia w warunkach rzeczywistych oraz uzyskanie certyfikacji CE.
