Property / summary
The project will consist of the completion of the optional mathematical classes by the research staff of the UP and the Partner pupils of secondary school pupils in Małopolskie Province, the applicant’s scientific staff are represented by the Institute for Mathematics up, for almost 60 years, teacher training for mathematics at all levels of education. Therefore, the entity has experience in promoting knowledge and in non-university contacts (project coordination in the programme of the University of Young Inventions, Researchers’ Night, dissemination series of outreach lectures to students taking place within the framework of the Polish Mathematics Society) and by the team members of the project — the City of Kraków Town Hall — in which the project will be carried out directly by its unit — the Jorana Jorana Youth Centre in Cracow, with a rich educational activity for secondary school pupils. The project also generates additional values in the form of an increase in the competences of teachers of the schools involved, who will be able to benefit from the experience and knowledge of external teaching assignments at the time of the project, thus contributing to the achievement of the following objectives of the P: Building up the skills of the students in terms of creative thinking and innovation activities, — implementation of the partnership with the Krakow City Council — implementing the project directly through its JJordi Jorana Youth Centre in Cracow, — Development of the Pedagogical University in the framework of the implementation of the so-called ‘third mission’ — deepening cooperation with the environment and working in favour of the community. The aim of the project is to develop young people’s skills for creative and innovative thinking through their participation in non-conventional courses in the form of mathematical workshops, in cooperation with the partner. The annual cycle of workshops will close the two days of the Film Festival summarising the annual work of the pupils/students. The activities will continue at the end of the project. (English)

Projekt wygeneruje też wartości dodatkowe w postaci podniesienia kompetencji nauczycieli zaangażowanych szkół, którzy będą mogli w czasie trwania projektu korzystać z doświadczenia i wiedzy dydaktyków zewnętrznych, co przyczyni się do lepszej realizacji następujących celów P: - rozwinięcie kompetencji uczniów/uczennic w zakresie myślenia kreatywnego i działań innowacyjnych, - realizacja partnerstwa z Urzędem Miasta Krakowa - realizującym Projekt bezpośrednio poprzez swoją jednostkę podległą Centrum Młodzieży im. Jordana w Krakowie, - rozwój Uniwersytetu Pedagogicznego w ramach realizacji tzw. trzeciej misji - pogłębienia współpracy z otoczeniem i pracy na korzyść społeczności. Celem projektu jest rozwój kompetencji młodzieży w zakresie myślenia kreatywnego i działań innowacyjnych poprzez uczestnictwo w niekonwencjonalnych modułach zajęć w postaci warsztatów matematycznych, realizowanych we współpracy z partnerem. Roczny cykl warsztatów zamknie dwudniowy Festiwal Matematyki podsumowujący roczną pracę uczniów/uczennic. Zajęcia będą kontynuowane po zakończeniu projektu. (Polish)
