Projekt "Aktywni Seniorzy w Cieszynie" jest realizowany przez Miasto Cieszyn. Celem projektu jest utrzymanie, wspieranie i poszerzanie niezależności osobistej oraz aktywności 26 seniorów (15K 11M) poprzez wzrost dostępności i jakości usług społecznych zapobiegających wykluczeniu społ. na terenie Cieszyna. Uczestnikami projektu są osoby po 60 r.ż. zagrożone wykluczeniem społecznym i ubóstwem, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem osób niepełnosprawnych (co najmniej 11 uczestników) i niesamodzielnych, które poprzez udział w projekcie zwiększą swoją motywację do działania i nauczą się funkcjonowania w środowisku lokalnym zgodnie ze swoimi możliwościami psychofizycznymi, co jest niezmiernie ważne dla zapewnienia aktywnego i zdrowego starzenia się społeczeństwa. Realizatorami projektu są: Miejski Ośrodek Pomocy Społecznej (MOPS), Dom Spokojnej Starości (DSS) oraz Szkoła Podstawowa nr 4, które są jednostkami organizacyjnymi Gminy Cieszyn. The ‘Senators in Cieszyn’ project is run by the City of Cieszyn. The aim of the project is to maintain, support and enhance the personal independence and activity of 26 senior citizens (15K 11M) by increasing the availability and quality of social services that prevent social exclusion in Cieszyn. Participants in the project are people after 60. at risk of social exclusion and poverty, with special attention to persons with disabilities (at least 11 participants) and dependent persons, who, through their participation in the project, will increase their motivation to act and learn how to operate in the local environment in accordance with their psychophysical capabilities, which is of the utmost importance for ensuring the active and healthy ageing of the population. Project promoters are: The Urban Social Assistance Centre (MOPS), the House of Starbones (DSS) and the Primary School No 4, which are the organisational units of the municipality of Cieszyn.
