Jigni State was a Princely State during British India it was Founded by H.H. Maharajadhiraj Shri Rao MadanDev Pratap Singh Parihar Ji second elder Son of the H.H. Maharaja MahaSingh of Ramgarh the state was given as jagir by Bundela ruler.
- Presently the descendants of the Royal Family are situated in Villages of Rewa District of Madhya Pradesh. The state was formerly ruled by the Pratihara's and when H.H. Maharajadhiraj Shri Rao Kunwar Kasturi Pratap Singh Parihar moved to his In-Law's
- In Madow Village in Rewa the state was then taken by the Bundela ruler's of Panna and the First Bundela ruler became Rao Padam Singh he was a son of Maharaja Chhatrasal of Panna.
- HH Rao Hanumant Singh was captured by Britishers after a stiff battle and was hanged . His wife bagheli princess and thakurani Bitto kunwar became sati with him . still sati chabootra is there . present heir HHRao Dinkar Singh Parihar Reside in KOTA.
