Within the confines of Project implementation, initiatives in the scope of modernisation of the border crossing infrastructure will be undertaken. Activities related to preventing and combating illegal migration and smuggling, fighting organised crime as well as counteracting and eliminating illegal trade of rare and endangered species will be integrated into the scope of the Project implementation. Project implementation will positively impact on the cross-border effect through more efficient transport of goods through the border, facilitations to border traffic, increased contacts between entrepreneurs on both sides of the border. Faster and more effective border services’ control on the rail border crossing in Siemianówka is connected to shorter stay of wagons on border crossings. Custom clearance quality in the rail transport area and along the rail route will improve. Technical aspects of customs of cross-border freight trains will also improve. The strategic result will be meeting the Schengen standards in the scope of protection of external EU border. Development of the rail border crossing in Siemianówka is an indicator of needs in the scope of export and import of goods. Location of the rail border crossing in Siemianówka on the Polish side will be more attractive, as well as of Svislach border crossing on Belarusian side. Project implementation will be beneficial to the Border Guard officers, Customs Service officers, employees from the Border Crossing Service Department using the newly constructed infrastructure, as well as entrepreneurs and local government authorities. The effects will be noticeable also to citizens living in the region due to social and economic development of the region. Establishing cooperation with the Partner will also be one of results. Development of the rail border crossing in Siemianówka is an indicator of needs in the scope of export and import of goods. (Polish)
