The management of research and innovation projects, in particular social innovation, needs specific skills that are still not fully developed in the Danube Region. Specific support is needed, which the present consortium will build up through innovative adaptive trainings and by offering a helpdesk service. Strategies and roadmaps on how to improve the administration and management of research and technological and social innovation systems will be developed. The consortium includes several partners with wide experience of teaching, training and capacity building for project management, who will set up an innovative learning system for young project managers and administrators in public and private R&I and SI institutions in the Danube Region to increase their employability and the quality of projects using augmented learning environments and adaptive learning. Several partners are able to involve wide networks of civil society organisations and businesses (as members of Civil Society Fora or the Enterprise Europe Network respectively). The project will include a work package focusing on strategic aspects. It will build-up networks, identify gaps and opportunities, develop policy recommendations, national and regional roadmaps and strategy to spread excellence, develop guidelines, curricula and learning systems. The partners are well suited to carry out these activities, including experience in the development and use of online learning tools. In the project, pilots of the different course modules will be carried out (distance learning) and a full academic pilot course (blended learning) will be implemented. The project thus allows for learning interactions among the partnership (key stakeholders in their countries), with a group of pilot students (a limited group face-to-face and a larger group via distance education) and with a wide network of project applicants from all over the Danube Region.
