Property / summary | |||||||||||||||
‘The problem of autism generally poorly known or even misunderstood in the countries of the Indian Ocean area or insufficiently taken into account as a specific handicap, requires specialised support techniques both in the medical sector, NGOs and ministries. This project, which focuses mainly on expertise, training engineering and coaching, will allow autistic people to benefit from a better consideration of their care and a recognised citizenship. Its main objective is to enhance local skills through a partnership with parents‘associations, the Ministry of Social Security of Mauritius and the Seychelles Ministry of Health, who find themselves lacking in expertise and educational know-how on autism.’ (English) | |||||||||||||||
