Ground squirrel, one of the rarest mammal of Europe, is considered as an endangered species. Currently, we only know about 24 areas where the ground squirrel exists. Aim of this project is to contribute to the preservation of this specie in all of the areas that it lives at. Activities will include: research, monitoring, implementation of measures to support the specie and its environment, and knowledge sharing. The project contributes to the improvement of the environment for citizens. It also aims to introduce the ground squirrel to the visitors. (English)
