Partners belong to common geographical territories with complementary potentials. Countries shared history and culture, and this kind of CBC projects has been developed before and has been proved as very successful cooperation with significant results. This area has a significant number of common assets and challenges. SMEs in all programme countries, due to their size, are constrained by limited access to finance, lack of infrastructure and effective institutional support. The range of SME support services is limited and most support institutions don`t offer support to prospective entrepreneurs. There is a need to provide SMEs with a stronger support in order to enhance their capacities. Project aims to contribute to enhancement of business institutions infrastructure and upgrading services to support development of business environment in cross-border area. Through the project, IT clusters in Nikšić and Tuzla will be established, local IT network in Zadar will be strengthened, capacities of IT cluster in Mostar will be improved and preconditions for cross-border cooperation among clusters will be created, network and cooperation of business support institutions in cross border area will be developed, capacities of existing Code hubs in cross border area will be strengthened and FabLabs in cross border area will be established and developed. Activities of the project will involve target gruops such as interested groups including NGOs, higher education and research, SME, business support organisations, etc. Project activities will contribute to accelerating development of business environment, development of innovations science-based solutions and competitiveness of the programme area. The project encourages creation of cross-border networks of coworking spaces, innovation labs, business support institutions, SMEs and clusters which will contribute to the integration of the economy in border areas.
