The overall objective of the project "Strengthening the Cross-border Disease Preparedness and Response System" is to foster cross-border cooperation enhancing the core capacities for surveillance and response to cross-border threats to health, both in relation to answering current COVID-19 pandemic emergency needs, as well as creating the joint framework for disease preparedness and control system in a frontier area. Project activities: 1. Project management. 2. Development of cross-border capacity for sufficient response to epidemic threats. 3. Strengthening the core competencies of the borderland’s healthcare sector. 4. Cross-border collaborative partnership for disease preparedness and response. 5. Information and publicity. 6.
